FOOTBALL: HON. ADJERESE PROSPER UNITY CUP, SUCCESS RANGERS CLINCHED TROPHY.

A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and a humanitarian ambassador, Hon. Prosper Oghenevwaro Adjerese, is the organiser of HON. PROSPER ADJERESE UNITY CUP, Ughelli, a football tournament that covers over sixteen communities in Ughelli North local government area.
On Monday April 21st, the football tournament held its grand finale, between SUCCESS RANGERS FC of Eruemukohwarien Community and MIRE FC of Ekuigbo Community both in Ughelli North LGA.
The grand finale of the beautiful round leather game was played at the Ekiugbo Primary School, Ughelli, between the Success Rangers of Eruemukohwarien Community and Mire FC of Ekiugbo Community.
It was a unique grassroot football tournament, that scouts young talented boys, into the world of football games. Sports is a great adventure for grassroot development, especially football, which is a game that brings love, peace and unity amongst citizenry irrespective of ethnic, tribe and religious affiliations.
Hon. Prosper Adjerese, is an astute grassroot politician, a humanitarian ambassador and a business man, who has contributed immensely to the peace and development of our communities through his humanitarian gestures.
It was a tough leather football match finals that ended on penalties, where Success Rangers Fc of Eruemukohwarien scored 5 against Mire Fc of Ekuigbo who scored 4, after both teams played full 120 minutes of extra time with 1 – 1 draw. The winner, Success Rangers FC received a very big prize 🏆, as well the runner up.
Dignitaries present at the football tournament finale are, Mr. Joshua Onoriode Oborevwori, Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Sylvester Ovbije, Commissioner for DESOPADEC, representing Ughelli North, Ethiope East and Urhobos in Patani, Rt. Hon Ajero Prosper, Leader of Ughelli North Legislative Arm, Comrade Edafe Diadenaru, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Oborevwori on Community Development.
Others are Hon. Eshanomi, Mrs Elohor Okpowan, PDP Women leader of Ughelli North, Comrade Shadrach Ofiavwe, former PDP Youth Leader and also Special Assistant to elstwhile Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Mr. Egube Jude Obaro, CNA, Mr Onokpevwe Otega, who was also the MC for the event, amongst others.
